Children’s Advocacy Centers of Pennsylvania protects and supports children through stronger team collaboration, better coordination of child abuse investigations, and a shared commitment to doing this work the right way — the child-focused way.
Understanding how the work of Children's Advocacy Centers brings our mission to life.
Mission
Established in 2007, PennCAC represents 41 county-based Children’s Advocacy Centers across Pennsylvania.
Our mission is to promote and support the development, growth and continuation of the multidisciplinary approach to child abuse investigations. We bring investigative teams together under one roof, ensuring that investigations are child-centered, coordinated and effective.
A Clear Future
We envision a Pennsylvania where every child has access to a strong, coordinated response to abuse—no matter where they live.
Why This Work Matters
When systems are fragmented, children and families feel it.
They may have to repeat their story. Services may be delayed. Support can be harder to access.
PennCAC exists to change that—so the response is clear, coordinated, and focused on the needs of the child.
How Our Work Shows Up Every Day
This work isn’t theoretical—it’s happening in communities across Pennsylvania every day.
Children's Advocacy Centers are supported and equipped
So they can provide consistent, high-quality care
Professionals are trained to respond effectively
With the knowledge and confidence they need
Agencies work together—not in silos
Sharing information and aligning their response
Children and families experience a coordinated system
One that is clear, supportive, and focused on their needs
